Tricia D. Goostree
Founder and AttorneyTricia D. Goostree knew she wanted to be an attorney when she was 10 years old. Maybe it was Perry Mason reruns, or L.A. Law episodes, but being an attorney seemed glamorous and exciting. It was not until college, when Tricia was selected for Eastern Illinois University's mock trial team, that she realized how much she would enjoy litigation and courtroom work. It really was exciting! Then, after being accepted to the John Marshall Law School with a Dean's Scholarship, she added excellent writing skills to her love of working in the courtroom, winning the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition. Tricia was awarded a Moot Court Executive Board scholarship and went on to compete in regional and interstate competitions during her law school career. Since 2002, Tricia's practice has been solely concentrated in family law and domestic relations, including but not limited to complex financial cases, issues of maintenance, contested custody litigation, and appeals. For nearly 15 years, Tricia's goal has been to represent her clients zealously with integrity and compassion, whether during tough settlement negotiations or litigation. Tricia loves being in the courtroom and excels when presented with difficult legal problems or challenging opponents. As a small town girl who moved to Chicago to pursue her drive of being a lawyer, Tricia has the ability to relate to folks from all walks of life, regardless of what their legal or family issues may be.
