  • Desiree Eastham

    Pilates Instructor

Desiree began practicing Pilates as a way to improve core strength pre- and post-pregnancy. She discovered that Pilates was much more than mat exercises. Exercises become progressively more challenging with props and time on the reformer. She enjoys the way Pilates helps her develop breath awareness, concentration, coordination, flexibility, inner strength and improved posture. Desiree is an avid exerciser and enjoys varied, high-intensity interval/functional movement classes which often include work with suspension systems, weights, BOSU and barbells. Pilates has strengthened her “powerhouse”, and helps her stay active on her recovery days with stretching. In addition to being a Pilates teacher, Desiree teaches barre classes with a variety of props incorporating small playground balls, rings, weights, therapy bands, and tubing. Desiree holds certifications by Physical Mind Institute in Pilates, Anusara Yoga, ACE Personal Trainer and NETA Group Ex. She is SCW Barre Certified and SCW Foam Roller Certified. Come discover how Club Pilates can help you live your best life!

  • Molly Johnston

Molly was a stay at home mom, devoted to raising her family. Now that they are grown she has had the opportunity to pursue her other passion, Pilates. Pilates has been a passion of Molly’s for many, many years. Being an avid runner, Pilates improved her posture, which in turn, sped up her running. Molly began studying Pilates through books several years ago, learning mat work at home and in group classes. Over time due to different health scares, she returned to Pilates instead of surgery, to help heal her body as best she could. Pilates has always been a draw for Molly, as the fascination of the body movement and ever changing motion, allows for great creativity and a strong body. Joseph Pilates’ statement “Change happens through movement and movement heals” is a statement dear to Molly’s heart. Pilates is easy until you do it right. Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath work and flow all work together to create a fun workout that you take with you throughout your day. It doesn’t get better than that! Fresh out of intense certified training at Club Pilates and eager to share what she knows, Molly is excited to see people improve their health. Although new to teaching a fitness class, she is not new to leading or teaching a class. Molly has lead bible studies and taught Sunday School for 29 years. Molly volunteers as a tutor at Gigi’s Playhouse for people with Down Syndrome. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, is a Certified Paralegal and now a Pilates Instructor. Molly has been married to Gregg for 31 years. They have 3 beautiful children. A son and daughter in law and a grand daughter. Molly’s passion is for helping people improve their lives.

  • Kristin Bloch

    Instructor

Kristin first became serious about fitness 15 years ago after too many hours of sitting behind a desk began to have negative consequences. Although Kristin dabbled in Yoga, Pilates, and strength training, her main focus was on cardio. However in 2015 a running injury caused her to check further into Pilates and she was a convert after realizing that after a few Pilates reformer sessions, her hips and knees no longer ached. Earlier this year Kristin decided to take her love of Pilates to the next level by enrolling in the Comprehensive 500 hour Teacher Training Program offered by Club Pilates. Kristin is no stranger to education, earning a Master of Business Administration in 2008, but states that the Pilates Teacher Training program challenged both her body and mind in ways never expected. Kristin also has previous experience as a corporate trainer, training newly hired employees over the course of eight weeks to prepare them for their careers in a busy call center. She loved the connection she built with her students while training them, and hopes to build these connections with members as she assists them with their Pilates and overall fitness journey. Kristin loves the fact that no matter what someone’s fitness goals are¸ Club Pilates has a workout to help them achieve those goals, and she hopes to show everyone that you can be strong, vital, and healthy no matter your age or current level of fitness.

  • Stephanie Marlatt

    Instructor

Stephanie’s knowledge of mat Pilates started when she was going through her dance program at Northern Illinois University where she graduated and continued to be a competitive dance instructor for 6 years. It wasn’t until the beginning of 2018 when Stephanie enrolled in the Club Pilates Teacher Training that her horizon broadened in the Pilates world being trained on the reformer, TRX, Exo chair and barre. With her extensive background in dance, she fully appreciates and understands the importance of injury prevention as well as total body maintenance in all areas of fitness and she believes Pilates offers just that. Stephanie started teaching at Club Pilates Glen Ellyn in September of 2018 and has really taken a liking to fusion classes where she has the foundation of Pilate’s practices while mixing in different equipment and props accompanied by a well thought out playlist of eclectic music! Outside of the studio Stephanie works in child advocacy and event planning while also pursuing her personal training certification and deepening her Pilates practice.

  • Lisa

    Instructor

As a competitive figure skater most of my life, I fell in love with fitness at an early age. The high intensity demand that came with figure skating lead me to utilize personal trainers and physical therapists in an effort to keep me safe and healthy and introduced me to the science side of fitness. After graduating college, I realized that I wanted to pass on that information in the same way my mentors had and became a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. With 10 years of experience, an ACE Personal Training Certification, NASM Corrective Exercise, and 4 years of teaching at Pure Barre, learning Reformer Pilates was the next step in my career. I enrolled in the Club Pilates Teacher Training program and am excited to share my knowledge and experience with everyone.
